In this lesson, I have summarised everything you need to succeed and achieve excellent results in your WJEC Mathematics exams. I have also included an introductory lesson to guide you on how to effectively prepare for your exams in general.

Course Content

Number Operations & Algebraic Expressions.
At the end of this lesson, you should be able to: • Understand and apply the four basic operations with integers and decimals, • Simplify and evaluate algebraic expressions, • Understand the use of variables in algebraic expressions.

Solving Linear Equations
By the end of this lesson, you will be confident in solving simple and multi-step linear equations. You will also understand and apply the concept of balancing equations.

Quadratic Equations
At the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the form of quadratic equations, the structure of quadratic equations and solve simple quadratic equations by factoring.

Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. You will also be able to perform operations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Probability
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to understand probability, calculate probability and use the probability scale to express the likelihood of events.

Geometry – Angles and Properties of Shapes
At the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand and calculate the angles in different polygons. You will also be able to use angle properties to solve problems involving triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons.

Pythagoras’ Theorem
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to understand and apply Pythagoras’ Theorem to find the length of the sides of right-angled triangles.

Statistics – Averages and Data Representation
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to calculate the mean, median, and mode of a data set. You will also understand and create different types of data representations (bar charts, histograms, etc.).

Trigonometry – Sine, Cosine, and Tangent
At the end of this lesson you will be able to understand and apply the basic trigonometric ratios: sine, cosine, and tangent.

Functions and Graphs
At the end of this lesson, you will understand the concept of a function and its graph. You will be able to sketch the graphs of linear functions.
